The ultrasound service uses the latest high-resolution systems and is operated by fully qualified and accredited staff under the direction of Mr Gerald Mason, Consultant in Feto-maternal Medicine.

The laboratory service operates under the direction of Professor Howard Cuckle, who is an international expert in screening research.

Data and results from the Centre are continually audited and outcomes used to further research into screening and prenatal diagnosis. The unit is accredited by the Fetal Medicine Foundation and is a registered centre.

The diagnostic ultrasound services are overseen by our Consultant Radiologist Dr James Simpson.
