Diagnostic Ultrasound

We are pleased to offer a fast, affordable, diagnostic ultrasound imaging service for those who wish to avoid long waiting lists and a screening service for those who simply want peace of mind. By paying for a private examination you can choose a convenient appointment which suits you.

  • Your enquiry will be treated as strictly confidential.  Simply contact LSC on 0113 262 1675.
  • We will discuss your requirements and explain the most suitable examination to you.  We will also give you a choice of appointment times and dates to choose from.
  • Your appointment will be confirmed in writing together with directions to the clinic and details of any preparation required for the scan.
  • Our final report will be sent to you and/or your doctor, which ever you prefer. Images will be supplied if any follow-up is recommended.
  • Payment will be requested at your appointment.  No advance payments or deposits are required.
  • Should you wish to changed your or cancel your appointment then please let us know as soon as possible so the appointment can be given to someone else. No fee will be charged for any test not performed.
Abdominal

Upper Abdominal: An examination of the liver, gallbladder, common bile duct, spleen, pancreas and kidneys. It includes an examination of the aorta (see below): £120                                                                                            

Renal Tract: An external examination of the kidneys and bladder with an assessment of how well the bladder empties after passing water. The examination in men also includes assessment of the prostate gland. The examination in a female also includes the uterus and ovaries: £120 

Aortic Aneurysm Screening: This is a widening of the aorta. This is a potentially fatal condition for which early medical intervention can be life saving: £80

Male Pelvis: General examination of the bladder, prostate as per renal tract above and any specific tender areas: £120
 
Female Pelvis: Examination of the uterus, ovaries, bladder and any specified areas of tenderness. The scan can be used to locate the position of a contraceptive coil, fibroids, ovarian cysts and ovarian / uterine cancer screening. The examination is performed externally with a full bladder but an internal, trans-vaginal scan can be performed when more detail is required: £120

Full Abdominal (Upper& Lower): See above for abdomen & pelvis: £200
 
Female Pelvis for Fertility Treatment: See above as for female pelvis but also include Doppler blood flow studies if requested. Measurements of endometrial thickness and ovarian follicles for IVF treatment: £120
      Biochemistry: LH/progesterone/estradiol blood levels: £98

Small Parts
Thyroid: Both lobes and the thyroid isthmus will be assessed for any obvious abnormalities and determine the nature of any palpable lump(s): £120
 
Testis: This examination will screen the testes for any abnormality, lumps, palpable bumps or general areas of tenderness: £120
 
Salivary Glands: This examination will screen any of the 3 salivary glands for any abnormality, lumps, palpable bumps or areas of tenderness: £120
 
Lumps & Bumps: An examination to ascertain the nature and position of any lump or bump anywhere on the body: £120
Vascular
Carotid Screening: An examination of the arteries that supply the blood flow to the brain and if blocked can lead to a Stroke. Doppler can demonstrate whether the carotid arteries are stenosed (narrowed), calcified or have a thrombosis (blood clot): £120
 
DVT Screening (Femoral to popliteal): These are blood clots which can develop in the body’s venous system and most commonly occur in the deep veins of the legs causing pain, tenderness and swelling: £100 single leg / £150 both legs
